Rev. Dr. George Payton

Rev. Dr. George E. Payton, a distinguished religious leader and retired professional, has dedicated his life to both spiritual guidance and community service. He served as the Senior Pastor of St. Elizabeth MB Church in Aynor, SC, from 2012 to 2023. Prior to this, he was the Executive Pastor and Minister to Men at Palmetto Baptist Church in Conway, SC, from 2010 to 2012. Before his pastoral career, he retired from International Paper Company after over three decades of service.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Grambling State University, obtained in December 1974, a Master of Arts in Religion, earned in May 2011, and a Doctor of Ministry, completed in December 2015.

Dr. Payton currently resides in Little River, SC, with his wife Claudia. They have two adult children and two grandchildren.
