Be The One [To Remember]

Pastor Richard discusses how the Christmas season brings a longing to remember and recapture nostalgic feelings and "Christmas spirit" from simpler times. He relates this to the eternal longing God has placed in our hearts and how our souls desire that sense of goodness and meaning. However, hurts, trials, busyness, and complacency often cause people to forget their identity and relationship with God. Just as Alzheimer's tragically robs someone's memory, pain and life struggles can harden our hearts to forget God's love. The pastor encourages the church to help people remember they are wanted and loved by God and have a purpose. He urges them to build relationships modeling God's love, be available when God calls them to meet needs, and pray for opportunities to remind people of the hope found in Christ.
